SuperValue is recalling Macro Almond, Brazil and Cashew Spread 250g with a due to the presence of an undeclared allergen, peanuts.

SuperValue has issued a nationwide recall of this product which is sold at Countdown, SuperValue and FreshChoice. The impacted product has a best before date of 15/4/21 and 30/11/21. Any customer who has bought this product is asked to return the product to their nearest FreshChoice, Countdown or SuperValue store for a full refund.

Customers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product. To date, FreshChoice, Countdown or SuperValue has not received any complaints from customers.

SuperValue takes product safety very seriously and apologises to its customers for any inconvenience caused by this recall. A full investigation is being carried out into the root cause of the incident.

No, there have been no notified reports of illness or other consumer complaints either in New Zealand or in Australia where the product is also sold at Woolworths Supermarkets.

Any customers who purchased the Macro Almond, Brazil and Cashew Spread 250gm with a best before date of 15/4/21 or 30/11/21 can bring it into any of our stores and you will be given a full refund.
