SuperValue Waihi donates to COOL CREW

In March  Nitesh, Janardan and the team at the newly built SuperValue Waihi donated to COOL CREW and got involved with their beach hop. COOL CREW was set up in Waihi approximately 5 years ago to provide after school social activities for young people in the community with intellectual disabilities.

  COOL CREW recognised that there was a need to support these youths as there are limited opportunities to join the workforce or continue personal development towards independence after leaving school, and some young people have had to leave town to achieve this. To fill this gap this year they have introduced a holistic day programme called Thrive to provide those in their community with further opportunities.  

COOL CREW is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, they need funding and donations to help them to provide teaching resources, seed money for small business development and for extra lessons such as Tai Chi, music and technology.
