Christmas Ham Glaze

Super easy glaze for one large ham.

A simple and traditional ham glaze.

  • 1 Tbsp whole cloves
  • 1 cup Chelsea Dark Cane Sugar
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/3 tsp ground cloves

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan forced).
  2. Remove the skin from the ham and score the fat in a diamond pattern.
  3. Press a clove into the middle of each diamond.
  4. To make the glaze, place the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan over a low heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Brush the ham with the glaze and bake for 40 minutes, adding more glazing every 10 minutes.

Handy Tip

To prevent the ham from sticking, pour 1/2 cup of wine into the baking dish.
