  • 200g butter, chopped
  • 2 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped continental parsley leaves
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes
  • 2 baguettes, halved lengthways

  1. Preheat oven to 220°c/200°c fan-forced.
  2. Place butter in a heatproof, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave, covered, on high for 20 seconds or until the butter softens. Stir in garlic paste, parsley, pepper, and salt until smooth and combined.
  3. Brush cut sides of baguettes with butter mixture. Press baguette halves back together and wrap in foil to enclose.
  4. Bake for 12 minutes or until bread is golden and crisp. Cut into pieces and serve.

Handy Tips

Freeze foil-wrapped baguettes for up to 3 months. Bake for 20 minutes from frozen.
