Syrup Glazed Ham

Christmas ham with a homemade maple syrup glaze is sure to impress your family this holiday season. Serve hot or cold with veges, a salad and new potatoes.

  • 1 Champagne pre-cooked ham (approximately 6-8kg)
  • 3 Tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • 1 cup Chelsea Maple Flavoured Syrup or Chelsea Honey Maple Flavoured Syrup
  • 2 cups crushed pineapple
  • Cloves

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C bake (fan bake not preferable).
  2. Place rack in oven to lower level.
  3. Peel back rind of ham and discard.
  4. Place ham in baking dish. Score ham and place a clove in each square.
  5. Mix wholegrain mustard, maple flavoured syrup or honey maple flavoured syrup and crushed pineapple together.
  6. Pour evenly over the top of the ham.
  7. Pour a cup of water into the bottom of the dish to help prevent burning.
  8. Place in the oven until heated through and the top is golden (approximately one and a half hours).
