Marinades for BBQ Season

Add some flare and fascination to meat with these aromatic blends.

Ingredients

Greek Yoghurt Marinade
  • 1/3 cup yoghurt
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 4 lemons, juiced
  • zest of one lemon
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsps dried oregano
  • 1 Tbsp rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp thyme
  • pinch of salt and pepper
Tangy Apple/Orange Juice
  • 1 cup apple or orange juice
  • ½ cup oil
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsps lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsps parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
Succulent Red Wine
  • 1 cup red wine
  • ¾ cup olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp of sea salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsps onion, diced
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary

Method

  1. Mix ingredients of chosen marinade in a bowl. Add meat.
  2. Just remember these marinades need at least 4-6 hours (the longer the better, overnight is great) to really work the meat!
