Preheat oven to 160°C. Line a large baking pan with foil or baking paper.
Remove rind from ham. Score fat layer using a 5cm round cutter. Stud with cloves. Place ham into pan.
Drain syrup from hibiscus flowers into a small pan. Add sugar, golden syrup and ginger and stir over low heat to dissolve sugar. Brush glaze over surface of ham. Bake, brushing with glaze every 20 minutes, for 1 hour or until golden. Place hibiscus flowers onto ham, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
